You should store the model trains in a secure box and ensure that it's also in a safe space that's not wet or damp. If you can wrap it in a plastic sleeve that is best, to ensure that even as you insert or take the model train out.....the train engine or train car is well taken care of. A lot of times the manufacturer box isn't so easy to get the model trains or their tracks back in the box....so the less hastle or jostling involved the better....so if you're manufactur box isn't taking care of the train you should consider an alternative like our model train boxes on TrainOasis.
