Is this durable so that kids can play with it?

For sure, its a great size and is made of metal.....so super durable when the kids are playing with it. The canon is made of plastic but seems durable as well, and my kids have been playing with it for awhile now and no issues. The only thing that you'll want to be aware of is that the rubber treads are awesome for realism....but I could see that if a kid is pulling on them strongly they could break over time. If they take care of the toy it should be fine...but if you have a kid that is putting some strength behind pulling on the treads...they could snap. The toy would still work/look fine...would just be missing the treads on the tank if that happened. I think it's worth it because the rubber treads look awesome on the diecast metal toy tank.
